Sharmax and Benelli's Partnership Points Toward a Bigger Global Push
Sharmax Deepens Its International Strategy With Benelli Partnership
28 Aug 2026

The strategic partnership between Sharmax Motors and Benelli Q.J. Srl, established in 2025, is entering a broader stage. What began with the development of a new range of mid-displacement road motorcycles for the European market has expanded into a wider cooperation covering products, manufacturing, parts support, and the infrastructure required for long-term growth.
An established partner behind the cooperation
Benelli brings more than a century of motorcycle experience to the cooperation. Founded in Pesaro, Italy, the manufacturer has a long engineering and motorsport history, with racing achievements that helped establish the brand internationally.
Since 2005, Benelli has been part of the Qianjiang industrial group, also associated with the QJMOTOR brand. Qianjiang is one of China's major motorcycle manufacturing groups, with annual production capacity of around 1.2 million vehicles. Benelli's own corporate materials state that QJ took responsibility for production following the acquisition. Benelli
This industrial connection is also relevant to Sharmax. QJMOTOR has issued an official declaration confirming that Sharmax-branded motorcycles are manufactured at QJ Motor production facilities. The declaration further states that the production uses the same technological processes and quality-control systems applied to vehicles manufactured under QJ Motor's own trademark.
Official manufacturing confirmation
The declaration below was issued by Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co., Ltd. to document the manufacturing origin of Sharmax products and their production at QJ Motor facilities.

Official declaration issued by Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co., Ltd. on July 22, 2026, confirming the manufacturing origin of Sharmax-branded products.
The manufacturing relationship provides additional industrial context for Sharmax's cooperation with Benelli. With Benelli operating within the Qianjiang group, the partnership connects Sharmax not only with the heritage and product expertise of the Italian motorcycle brand, but also with the wider manufacturing structure behind it.
Sharmax itself has roots in Italy dating back to 2014, adding another connection between the brand's early development and the next stage of its international expansion.
A wider road-motorcycle lineup
One of the first major results of the cooperation is the continued expansion of the Sharmax road-motorcycle range across several key categories.
The portfolio includes supersport motorcycles from the GP series, dual-purpose touring models, power cruisers, selected naked motorcycles, and maxi-scooters for urban mobility.
Rather than relying on individual model launches, Sharmax is building a broader product structure capable of serving riders with different experience levels and riding priorities. This approach also gives the brand greater flexibility as it develops its presence across European and other international markets.
Support that continues after production
The cooperation extends beyond the motorcycles themselves. Benelli Q.J. Srl also supports Sharmax through the supply of spare parts, connecting product development and manufacturing with after-sales service and long-term ownership support.
As the Sharmax dealer and showroom network grows, parts availability and technical support become increasingly important. Expanding the product range therefore requires the corresponding service infrastructure to grow alongside it.
Building these elements into the cooperation creates a stronger foundation for customers, dealers, and service partners across multiple markets.
Building rider communities
The next stage of the cooperation is also expected to extend beyond products and servicing.
Sharmax Motors and Benelli plan to develop activities around motorcycle communities in markets where the brands operate. These include rider events, races and organised group rides, as well as initiatives involving motorcycle schools and rental services.
Such activities create additional points of contact between the motorcycles and the people who use them. Events can strengthen local riding communities, while schools and rental programmes can make different types of motorcycles more accessible to riders who are still developing their skills or exploring new categories.
A broader foundation for European growth
The Sharmax–Benelli cooperation is developing alongside Sharmax's wider international expansion.
The next stage is expected to extend beyond road motorcycles, with new enduro and adventure models broadening the range into categories associated with off-road riding, active recreation, and motorsport.
Europe remains an important part of this strategy. Spain and Italy represent early stages of a wider European expansion, with additional markets expected to follow as the dealer network develops.
Together, the product portfolio, manufacturing capabilities, parts support, and community initiatives create a broader platform for Sharmax's growth as an international motorcycle brand.
